7/15/20
6-foot-1, 145-pound, longer, wider, athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed pitcher, who worked out as a position player as well. Off the mound, simple delivery, hands start and stay lower, loaded on the backside, slight drop as he moves down the mound. The arm action is longer and clean on the back, working smooth from a 3/4 slot, finishes the pitch, uses the entire body to pitch the baseball. The release is out front, with a good, strong back leg. The fastball reached 80 mph, with down action. Mixed in both secondary pitches, curveball shows proper spin and shape, slurve break at times, clocked at 64 mph. The changeup is an out pitch, down action, creating weak contact with swing and miss to it. At the plate, higher hands, slightly open, more middle of the field approach, creating lift and loft the swing. The swing is smooth and rolls the hands late, had an exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran the sixty-yard dash at 7.56. Defensively, threw 68 mph across the diamond. Working low to the ground, comes through the baseball, needs to get off the blocks quicker side to side. Projecting off the mound, look for velocity to jump, arm action long and clean.
