5-foot-9, 180-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Threw 77 mph down to second base during the defensive portion of the workout. Pop time of 2.11 as he needs to clean up his feet and shorten the throwing path down a bit. The transfer is fine but needs to gain ground to throw, at times stands upright to throw. The tools to catch and throw are certainly there as he can receive and he has more arm strength than 77 mph. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 86 mph. The bat is solid and the hands have life to them. Sets up with his feet even, front foot slightly open. The path is flat to the ball and the swing is under control, as he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot. Small bat wrap as he initiates the swing. Excellent prospect for D1 schools.
