05/29/16- Florida recruit. Currently ranked No. 25 in the Florida 2016 class, No. 87 overall. Loose, lean, live build on a 5-foot-11, 175 pound frame. Very athletic and legitimate two way prospect. In the outfield Baker shows advanced arm strength with his throws and displays loose, quick actions. Takes good routes to the ball and possesses a quick first step with light feet. Good instincts and is aggressive to the ball. At the plate he has a short, quick swing with some loft and the ability to drive the ball into the gaps, shows some power as well. On the mound he throws out of low ¾ arm slot across his body with effort. Fastball sat 89-91 mph with movement along with a 74-76 mph slider that showed some depth and bite. Works quickly.

12/28/14 - Strong athletic body with strong lower half and wide back. Similar to Tom Gordon. A very athletic two-way talent. Athletic actions in OF with good instincts. Aggressive routes. Charges balls hard. Good closing speed in the gaps. Plus ML arm strength. Has a short quick stroke with good bat speed and strength. Avg ML power now. Ran a 6.8, 60.

On the mound he has a very quick arm at a 3/4 slot. Has a drop and drive delivery and lands across his body. FB 86-89 mph with run and reportedly has been up to 92. SL was 78-79 mph and has 3/4 tilt with depth. A solid avg to above avg ML pitch. Has feel for CHG at 81-82 mph. Will be a 2016 draft.
