The 6-foot-3, lanky-framed southpaw showed a three-pitch mix of a fastball, slider and change-up. He repeated an unconventional low three-quarter slot delivery and his arm action was loose and clean. He threw all three pitches for strikes with his mostly 88-91 fastball that touched 92 and showed lots of arm-side run. He located it inside and out, showing above average control of the pitch. His 76-78 mph slider had sweeping action and worked especially well against left handed hitters. His changeup tunneled well with good fading action at 79-82 mph. Palmquist pitched five-plus innings, striking out eight with his only hit given up, a solo home run. For the season the Hurricane Ace has compiled a 9-3 record with a 2.64 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 75 innings pitched.

An out-getter with a higher-spin (2350-2500 rpm) fastball. The 89-91 offering was very effective and played up due to its release from a sidearm slot. He also flashed an average curve at 75 mph and a low-spin (1250 rpm) change of pace. He has struck out nine in six innings this summer for the CNT.

Miami commit. 6-foot-4, 180-pound, left-handed pitcher, long, lanky, projectable frame, high waist. Drop and drive delivery, keeps momentum on-line. Short, loose arm action from a ¾ slot. Creates deception with delivery and long limbs. Fastball sat 84-87, given slot and hand position, featured late life. Slider, 72-75, sweeping action. In two innings, recorded three strikeouts, two on fastballs and one on a curveball, one walk, one hit. 

05/20/18- At 6-foot-4, 175 pounds he is lanky, long and very projectable. He throws from a tough 3/4 slot. There is some slight crossfire, which may add to the deception, but the fastball, while sitting mostly 86-88 generated nine swing and misses in two innings. It had late, riding life and was rarely squared up. Showed an above average changeup at time at 79-80 mph and a sweeping slider at 73-74 mph. As he learns to stay taller on his backside and gains strength, the velo will make jumps and has a very high ceiling.  

Miami commit. Long, lanky left-handed arm is a big projection lefty. The arm works, whippy, clean low 3/4 arm action. Fastball ranged from 82-83 mph that should make big jumps. Curveball has a quality shape a 69-70 mph with potential to be an above average pitch. High follow
