03/14/17 - Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 111 in the Florida 2018 Class. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds with a lean, athletic build. Moved well behind the plate, blocked the ball and kept it in front of him on several in the dirt. Showed an accurate arm, threw out a base runner at second during the game. Went 3-for-4 at the plate which included two singles and a game winning home run that was crushed over the left field wall. Squared it up. Also showed some good speed on the base paths which included two stolen bases. Athletic catcher who can still add to his frame.
01/21/17- The athletic and projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound right handed hitting C/OF showed all-around tools and athleticism. Offensively, he starts with a wide base, but still gets quality separation. Has a level, line drive path through the zone and showed a feel for the barrel and gap-to-gap approach while also generating bat speed and an exit velocity of 91 mph. He still doesn’t fully utilize his lower half and could see a nice jump in power as he learns to do so. Defensively, he shows quality actions behind the plate. Although he has a somewhat high setup, the hands work well along with a clean transfer and good footwork resulting in pop times ranging from 2.02-2.15. Also showed his athleticism running a 6.9 60 yard dash. Overall there are a lot of quality tools and the athleticism will make him an interesting follow.
