6-foot-4 230 lb. Large strong bodied frame. Alvarez gets extension through swing on contact with fairly quick hands. 

3/20/17- A big, strong left handed infielder. Showed some power with a double off the right field wall. A feel for the barrel, there's some length and steepness in the swing, but has power projection. Struggled a bit at short, but would be interesting at third and the bat should project.
