4/28/16- Wofford commit who stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds with a lean, athletic, and wiry frame with quick twitch actions. He is ranked 146th in Florida and is the 24th-ranked shortstop. Ellmyer threw five strong innings against Cardinal Mooney and sat in the 84-87 mph range with a quick ¾ arm action. He turns in slightly with his leg kick, sinks into his backside before he goes home, and uses his lower half well. He also possesses a solid average curveball that breaks two planes and ha some sharpness. He also flashed a 70 mph CHG that dove late. At shortstop he has quick, soft hands and he can really pick it. He has good range and plenty of arm to stay at short. He made multiple tough plays on in-between hops. At the plate he has an open stance with a good base and consistently finds the barrel. He has a short, quick swing that is flat through the zone. He has an up the middle approach and consistently hits hard line drives and groundballs.
3/21/16 - Wofford recruit. 5-foot-11, 165 pound infielder with a lean loose athletic projectable body. Loose easy quick infield actions. Quick soft hands with good range. Light on his feet with a good first step quickness. Good infield instincts with enough arm. Quickness in the bat with decent bat speed. Good bat path. Usually keeps barrel in the zone. Lacks physical strength right now. Overall game will improve with added strength.
9/12/15 - Loose athletic body with good infield actions and soft quick hands. Very good defender with enough arm to stay at SS. Good instincts. Loose quick bat that is more of a contact type hitter. Bat will improve and maybe get some power with added strength.
