5-foot-10, 190-pound strong solid build. Above average projectable during batting practice, Poppell had a max exit velocity of 95 mph. Began in an athletic balanced stance with a tight compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed was explosive above average, used a short flat swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 79 mph; has a natural lengthy exchange, choppy feet, and sure firm hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. From a high ¾ slot, showed decent accuracy to the bag with a short arm action. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.68 60-yard dash.

5-foot-10, 190-pound solid physical frame. Athletic confident in the box, Poppell's best exit velocity was 94 mph. (66.75 mph bat speed average). (20.02 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced crouched stance with a smooth compact load, then used a controlled toe tap stride. Has a short loose swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 79 mph; showed athletic rhythmic feet, a clean natural exchange, and sure consistent hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Showed decent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a short arm action.
