10/2/15 - Troy commit. 6-foot-2, 180 pound LHP/1B with a lean loose projectable body. Loose actions at first base with good hands. Loose quick bat with good leverage when he gets extended. Has some length with lift in bat path. Good quickness in hands. Power will come with added strength. Did not see him pitch today, but has been 85-88 mph in the past.
6/20/15 - 6-foot-3, 180 pound left handed pitcher and hitter. Tall skinny projectable body. Loose quick bat with leverage. Flat plane. Bat stays in zone. Swing has some length with some quickness and future strength. Gets good extension and shows occasional power. Ran a 7.02 60. On the mound he has a loose arm at a high ¾ slot. Lands in line. Fast ball 82-85 mph with some tail. Change up 75-78 mph with some fade. Occasionally drops his slot. Curve ball is a bit soft at 70 mph. A loopy ¾ breaker.
2/24/15 - 6-foot-2, 180 pound lefty with a tall loose lean projectable body. Quick arm with some effort. High ¾ slot with some tilt on his fastball when he gets over his front side at 85-88 mph. Fastball has some arm side life. Hides ball in back. Lands in line. Occasionally pulls off line. Inconsistent release point causes inconsistent command. Curve ball has ¾ rotation at 72-74 mph. Slider is a short tight downer at 75-77 mph. Change up was 70-74 mph and flashes avg. Occasionally drops slot to throw it. Has good fade and sink. Could become an above avg pitch. Has the body, stuff and upside. Needs to develop consistency in delivery. Also a very good hitter.
1/10/15 FTB tryout - Tall thin loose projectable body with long, loose arms. He has a solid arm from the OF
and a simple, fluid, and consistent swing that produces line drives all over the field. Loose bat with late bat speed. Wiry strength in hands. On the
mound he has a smooth delivery with a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm works easy and theres a lot more velo to come. He attacks the strike zone with an 85-86 FB and a 69 CH. Very projectable.
