Not even close to being physically mature, Hillsman has a surprising amount of juice in his 5-foot-7, 135-pound frame, consistently making hard contact with a level barrel path. Up the middle, he is a fundamental defender with good range and the ability to make highlight type plays.

5-foot-7, 135 pounds. Smooth actions in the infield, makes plays with ease on the run. Hands and feet work together, uses feet to shorten throw to first. Made a few plays in the hole and showed solid arm strength. Overall, very solid defensive player. At the plate, Hillsman is a rhythm hitter. Starts with hands low and stays level through the zone. Hit balls hard all weekend.
