He filled up the zone with a three-pitch mix, with the fastball sitting 84–86 mph and showing the ability to command it to all parts of the plate. The slider tunneled well off the fastball, generating chases out of the zone and weak contact. He’s a smooth mover down the mound with a clean arm action and the ability to maintain velocity throughout the outing. He also flashed a changeup with fading action and the ability to command it. He slowed the game down and escaped some tough jams, going 6.2 innings while allowing two earned runs. He showed a good feel for sequencing and kept hitters off balance throughout the outing. Competed with confidence and attacked the zone in key situations. Projects as a durable arm who can continue to trend upward as he refines his arsenal.
