6-foot-1, 180 pound left handed pitcher. High waisted, slim frame that produces good actions on the mound. Long arm path that works on top of the ball, gets downhill well. Ball jumps out of the hand and FB pounds the lower part of the zone. FB sat 85-88 T90 and played heavy, CB sat 70-72 with big break and was thrown for strikes. Had no problem playing up a class.

Sofield is a projectable 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with a strong, physical lower half. The big southpaw had a number of standout performances at LakePoint this summer with the East Cobb Astros. Sofield has a quick, clean arm action, working out of a ¾ slot. He works his fastball into the mid-80s, and is able to get swing and miss with the pitch alone. With that in mind, what makes him the top arm in the state is his offspeed. He possesses a heavy, sinking changeup and an out pitch in his 1/7 curveball that has sharp bite to it.
