Uncommitted. The barrel remained heavy Friday night for Appling en route to a huge performance. The Parkview OF would launch a no-doubt 2-run homerun over the LCF wall in the top of the 1st (95 EV/352ft.). He then followed it up with more loud contact as he sent one deep into LF for an RBI double at 95 EV. There is loads of strength throughout the physical, athletic 5-foot-9, 194-pound frame that shows up in-game often. Appling generates a ton of strength from the ground-up with excellent balance. Delivers an extremely well-leveraged barrel through the zone backed by present bat speed that generates carry to the pull-side. Appling yields strong tools across the board and with the continued in-game production it only solidifies him as one of the top uncommitted players still on the market in the state.
