Clemson commit. It was a strong look at the overall profile for Monin as he paced the offense en route to a 13-8 win. Plenty of strength in the physical 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with some projection remaining. The RHH came through with a pull-side double and a backside RBI single. Simple actions at the plate and good utilization of his lower half with good ability to stay balanced through impact. Strength in the hands stands out from a compact path and feel to move the barrel around the zone in an all-fields approach. Athletic actions behind the plate with strong receiving and blocking as well. It’s a high-floor profile for Monin as he will provide immense value both offensively and defensively as a massive piece for the Wildcats this Spring.
