8-1-2018: The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder, had a solid spring for Spencer Allen’s Wildcats, hitting .314 with eight doubles, a home run and 22 RBIs. He’s continued those successful ways this summer, hitting ..326 with eight doubles. Dunn is an athletic shortstop who has shown an ability throughout the summer to swipe bases. He has good bat control and zone awareness, as evidenced by his 22 walks as opposed to 19 strikeouts. In the ASG game, Dunn hit a home run to left center fielder on an 86 mph fastball and earned the game’s MVP honor. Dunn lacks those loud tools that you look for in a highly regarded prospect, but there’s something to be said for a prospect with a consistent bat and approach, along with some speed. (K Rogers)
