East Carolina Commit. Rees’ presence could be felt across both games as he was a key contributor for Lovett. G1, he started the series off by taking a rip at the 1st pitch and hammering it right at the SS for loud contact, unfortunately ending in an out. His next AB, he pulled another hard GB for an RBI to put the team up 1-0 as he did his job. Later, he got an up and in offering and pulled the hands in well for a hard hit LD 2B. With his spread out stance and downward swing to the ball, he covers a wide area over the plate and can do damage with any pitch. G2 is where he showed off his confidence and power again as he blasted a 2R HR to dead center that he knew he got for the no-doubt shot. There is present strength up and down in Rees that will only continue to improve as he gains strength and experience.
