The quality looks at the uncommitted SS continue to stack up over the past calendar year. Boasts high-floor tools and some projection remaining in the lean, broad-shouldered 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. Showed extremely well at the plate across the double header with impressive cuts throughout out of the lead-off spot including a pair of knocks. The RHH leverages his back hip well and shifts weight well through impact with excellent zone awareness. Fast hands through the zone with adjustability in the path and excellent feel for the barrel. Innate pitch recognition stands out and looks to hit early in the count while showing the ability to work deep counts in a mature all-fields approach. Quality actions up-the-middle in the dirt with good footwork and arm strength to match. Malucci sets the tone for the Knights on both sides of the ball and offers a high-floor skillset that will be a strong addition to a recruiting class across multiple levels.
