Jacksonville state commit. Curcio turned it yet another complete game this playoffs and helped the Eagles complete the sweep to advance to the State Championship. Struck out 10 in a complete game shutout as the full mix induced swing-and-miss. Present twitch and athleticism with loud two-way tools in the wiry 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Exudes confidence on the bump with the feel to go to any pitch in any count. Whippy arm speed stands out with repeatability in the delivery and attacks in-the-zone with ease. Fastball sat 87-89 (T90 MPH) with heaviness throughout the zone. Advanced feel with ability to manipulate the slider at 78-81 with sharp break and created heavy swing-and-miss in-the-zone. Changeup looks the part of a future advanced offering and was mixed in at 83-84 with R/R feel while showing late fade. The former Future Gamer’s stock continues to trend upward and with this type of production the Eagles could very well be hoisting the 6A State Championship title come next week.

The former Future Gamer and Jacksonville State commit looked the part in the box with a pair of knocks and was one of the main focal points of the Eagles offense. Came through with a pull-side single and a backside double into the RCF gap with 2-strikes. Present athleticism and twitch in the lean 6-foot-0, 170-pound frame with wiry strength throughout. Curcio stays well-connected with huge bat speed and excellent length in-zone while using the whole field well. Shows great hands with adjustability and above-average accuracy in the barrel along with the ability to find consistent contact throughout the zone. Versatile defender with flexibility in the dirt and boasts quick lateral actions, soft hands, and arm strength to match. It’s a high-floor two-way profile for Curcio who yields immense value to the Eagles success and will fill a multitude of roles this Spring.
