South Carolina commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound, highly athletic right-handed pitcher, lean build.Long arm action, stiff on the back-side, very quick arm speed to get out front on a consistent basis, easy effort throughout. Has great feel for his delivery and mechanics, repeatedly in-sync. Fastball sat 88-90 mph, showed running and sinking action, threw it for a high volume of strikes. Curveball, 12/8 shape, sharp action to it, good feel for. Threw both pitches for strikes almost on command. With the easy effort in his delivery, it will be no surprise to see Simpson continue to gain velocity. His advanced feel on the mound will make him a prospect to keep an eye on for the 2021 MLB Draft.

9/18/19

6-foot-1 160 pounds. Had electric stuff on the mound in the semi-final game against a strong Triton Rays offense. FB was up to 90, he say around 88 most of his outing. Effortless delivery, with a loose arm. Stays on the back side well, and has a lot more left in the tank. Seemed he had 2 different breaking balls. One that he flipped over for a strike, and one that was high spin that he used for a swing and miss.
