5/20/26

The Woodward Academy outfielder has shown really well in multiple looks and the potent hit/power combo has stood out across the spring for myself. Collected a trio of base-hits including a double and a pair of hard-hit singles. Maintains balance through a slight leg lift load and is seemingly always on-time within a mature gap-to-gap approach backed by plus bat speed. Well-connected RH cut with real impact out front and tons of strength in the physical, athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Stays through the ball really well and works from the ground-up with immense ability to rotate. Delivers a heavy barrel with excellent leverage through the zone from a compact path with feel to manipulate in-zone. Strong defensive makeup in the corner outfield spot as well. Present foot speed and arm strength alike allow the glove to profile across the grass long-term with a chance to continue to grow. The stock continues to grow for Norman and with plenty more to project in the profile as he has a chance to be a name to know come August 1st.

3/06/26

The 2X Junior Future Gamer provided a potent look in the box with explosive cuts throughout the afternoon. Came through with a pull-side solo home-run along with adding an RBI knock later in the game as well. Powder-keg athlete with immense strength in the barrel-chested in the physical, athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Balanced load and shows an immense ability to rotate while staying compact through the zone. Extremely heavy barrel backed by significant bat speed and strong hands/wrists. throughout the zone. Feel to change barrel plane in-zone with ability to create leverage to the pull-side as well. The sophomore looks poised to carry a major role in the lineup for the War Eagles and has a chance to be a name to know come August 1st with plenty more to project in the profile.

3/01/26

The fleet-footed Spencer Norman from Woodward did not take long to impress. Well-built at 6-feet-0, 195 pounds he showed obvious comfort in the box, standing in an open stance with a narrow setup. Utilizing a C-shaped hand load and leg lift, the barrel was easily found with multiple balls being hit 98+, reaching a max EV of 103.2. The strong handed righty whipped the hands through the zone at an average of 77 mph, reaching as high as 81.5; coupled with his 67% barrel rate, he is a true middle of the order force to be on the lookout for. Already standing 6 feet tall, the outfielder still has room to grow and isn’t fully filled out yet, an encouraging indicator for even more future development. In the field, his fundamentals were top tier and showed to be a smooth mover with a 3.82 30-yard dash time. Throws were accurate and on line, reaching 86 mph, proving his ability to make a defensive impact as well. This upcoming season looks promising for Woodward and Spencer Norman.

7/27/23

5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Athletic RHH that performed well in game 1 v.s Connecticut helping Georgia secure the win. Norman went 2-3 on the day consistently squaring the ball up and having good ab’s. In his second ab of the day, Norman got a hold of one sending into the LCF gap and over the wall for a 2 RBI double. Norman did well to adjust to the offspeed and lace one into the gap. He displays a powerful swing and impressive strength at his age. Norman will be a fun player to watch as he continues to develop.
