Kennesaw State commit. Offensively, found a ton of barrels on the weekend and hit balls hard and helped churn the Stealth lineup hitting in the 5-6 hole most of the weekend. He played a sound 1B not committing a single error on the weekend. On the mound is probably where Franks has the most projection however; wiry, long levers, and the arm is loose. The velo is easy and got up on hitters sitting 86-89 with a ton of explosiveness and angle and flashed a 73-74 mph breaking ball that was for real. He threw one lone inning and punched out all 3 outs recorded with 2 coming on back breaking back door breaking balls.
Franks has been battling some arm issues this Spring, but by all accounts he is super athlete with some feel in the batters box on top of being a legit prospect on the mound. Between the video and the coaches I have talked with Franks is going to be a close follow moving forward.
