It was yet another outstanding showing for the Harris County sophomore. As he set the tone all afternoon long while facing a potent arm talent in the low-mid 90’s. Picked up a trio of hard-hit base-hits including a pair of singles and an RBI double as well. Dimitri is armed with present athleticism in the 5-foot-11, 146-pound frame and boasts a polished approach in the box with innate pitch recognition as he is an instant tone-setter atop the Tigers offense. The RHH gets the front foot down in a quick trigger and is always on time. Lets the hands work through the zone while staying compact with accuracy in the barrel and high-level bat-to-ball skills. Excellent feel for the zone and ability to adjust to velocity or spin while working to all parts of the field. Positional versatility in the dirt with fluid footwork with lateral quickness to either side and soft hands that play extremely well at the hot corner. Budding arm strength allows Dimitri to make accurate throws to any bag with ease. It’s a high-floor profile as he provides immense value to success for his ballclub in a plethora of ways and will be a name to know come August 1st.
The continued strong looks at Dimitri continue to stack up. Gamer traits and high-level in-game intangibles littered the profile for the Tigers infielder. Armed with athleticism in the lean 5-foot-11, 146-pound frame with present feel to hit. Set the tone all weekend long out of the lead-off spot as he collected a plethora of hits across the entirety of the tournament. The RHH syncs up extremely well as he gets the front foot down and stays balanced while letting the hands work through the zone. Shows a quick, compact trigger with fast hands and ability to move the barrel around the zone in an on-plane path. Wiry strength gap-to-gap and mature approach at the dish always stands out as he looks to hit early in the count with excellent pitch recognition to match. Strong defender with lateral quickness and soft hands while boasting flexibility in the dirt. Dimitri will provide immense value to success this year for the Tigers with present tools on both sides of the ball along with being a lead by example type in the dugout.
