A physical presence that immediately stood out at check-in, Back stands at 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds with room for projection still in the frame. Offensively, Back showed off a shorter, repeatable stroke with some heaviness to the barrel that translated to low-to-mid 90's exit velocities. A two-way prospect, Back did not pitch at this event, but we have seen the projectable righty show a fastball that works into the mid 80's in previous looks.

Body: 6-6, 200-pounds. Large, projectable frame
Delivery: Slow tempo to a strong balance point with a slight inward turn. Short strider, lands soft on the front leg. Finishes with balance.
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm action w/ some whip, works from a high 3/4 slot
FB: T84, 83-84 mph. Heavy ASR, sporadic command T2034, 1997 average rpm.
CB: 68-69 mph. Two-plane shape, softer breaking ball T2094, 1972 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Some arm side fade that tunnels off FB T1684, 1556 average rpm.
ATH: 7.55 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Simple, slow-tempo delivery. Controls the lift to the top of a tall balance point & then moves down the slope with a slightly uphill shoulder plane. Lands open and finishes with balance.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action from a H 3/4 arm slot.
FB: FB flashes ASR
CB: 11/5 shaped w/ slurvey break
CH: Some depth
ATH: 7.58 runner in the 60.
