2017 Spring Scout Blog:  6-foot, 205 pound catcher was solid behind the plate. Sat low to receive the baseball and had good direction throwing to bases. 2.00-2.03 on throws between innings. High over the top release with good carry on the baseball, delivery accurate throws to second base. Pop times are going to lower with shorter, quicker catch to release. Strong frame with quick feet to block and throw. Balanced setup to start with weight on the front side. Hands start in middle of body before using a small leg lift to load and push weight/hands back on to backside. Has more room to load hands/weight and separate onto the back side. Line drive swing, slightly uphill with above average bat speed. Showed some pop in line drive single up the middle. IU-Southeast commit.

6/21/16:
The 6 foot 205 pound catcher showcased a strong arm and pop times that ranged between 2.04-2.1.  Transfer is long but fluid.  Footwork is clean.  At the plate, bat speed is above average with good rhythm in his swing.  Produced line drives.  Exit velocity topped at 86mph.  He ran a 7.4 60yd dash.
2/20/16: 6-foot, 205 pounder recorded pop times of 2.08, 2.10 and 2.12, 79 from the crouch.  Possesess a quick arm behind the dish with arm strength.  Long transfer, average feet.  Soft hands while receiving.  Blocks well.  At the plate this from a balanced setup, uses a leg kick. Tendency to dive. Good balance.  Possesses above average bat speed.  Long path.  Rhythm is early.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 86 mph.

12/6/15:
6-foot, 210 pounder showcased good receiving skills with soft hands.  Looks comfortable, good blocking ability.   Pop times were 2.19-2.26.  Stands straight up, needs to quicken and shorten up his transfer.  Possesses arm strength, 77 from the crouch.  At the plate hits from a narrow setup and uses a big leg kick.  Showcased good bat speed with a good approach to the ball.  Swing path is uphill, consistently barreled up the baseball.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 86 mph.

5/5/15 GAME NOTES:
Solid, strong backstop stands about 6' and 200 pounds. Had an exit velo of 82 at a previous showcase but showed more power with a HR and two deep line drives. Uphill path with a good approach and above average bat speed. Has good balance and a long stride. Behind the plate pop times were 2.19-2.29. Could improve as exchange was slow and average velocity. Receives with soft hands and gets very low for his size. Has some physical tools that could be worth following especially with improved defensive technique.

2/22/15;
 6-foot, 215 pound receiver currently possesses raw actions behind the dish. Pop times were 2.22-2.30 and was 74 from the crouch with accuracy.  At the plate starts balanced, loads back.  Leg kick, dives during the stride.  Uphill swing plane.  Good balance throughout the swing.  Recorded a high exit velo of 82 mph.
