2/25/17:  5-foot-8, 160 pound second baseman displays above average hands with a clean transfer and quick release.  Footwork is flat, arm strength is average for age.  Throws topped at 71mph.  Offensively, Nelis hits from an athletic setup and a leg kick with good rhythm.  Bat path is long, uphill with some bat speed.  Creates lift at contact.  Some potential in the batters box.

12/3/16:
  The 5-foot-8 155 pound possesses smooth rhythm from the left side.  Plane is long, uphill.  Slight drop in his hands during load.  Creates separation.  Good barrel awareness.  Defensively, footwork is flat with above average glove work.  Arm action is short with a quick release.  Arm strength is average.  Nellie ran a 7.89 60yd dash.
