The long and athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound Baechtold is a top-level catching prospect who showed well in all facets of the game. At the plate he was impressive with his clean hitting mechanics, loads well, gap-to-gap power and bat speed. Baechtold s strong arm shows well on the mound (79 mph), behind the plate and in the outfield.
