7/18/19

5-foot-10, 165-pound, left/left outfielder, athletic frame and actions. Started in centerfield and hit leadoff against Illinois Indians - Chicago - made hard contact each time up. Loose hands at the plate, fluid bat path, level through the zone, aggressive approach, hunts first pitch fastball. Pulled a single through the right side and barrelled two baseballs on a line, one to short and one to second base, also flew out deep to centerfield.

6/12/18: 2021 OF hits from the left side, crouched set up. Uses toe tap to back front as trigger. Bat path is level through zone with average bat speed. Tended to inside out the baseball due to long toe tap trigger, bat drag. In the OF showed average footwork and hands with a clean exchange. Arm strength was average as well.

9/10/17: 60 Time: 7.41, Position Velocity: OF-72, Exit Velocity: 74. 5-foot-8, 155 pound freshman lefthander works open to closed with a crouch, spraying low line drives with opposite field approach. Choppy rhythm to load, front side and foot lands open causing weak/stiff lower half and bat to drag. More explosiveness in lower half, weight shifts early onto front side. Hands and barrel work down to enter the zone, staying on top of the baseball. Long arm action, delivered throws with some accuracy and strength from a high ¾ arm action. More play in the lower half to finish and follow throws. PITCHING: Long/lanky freshman frame on the mound, drop/drive delivery with bounce, choppy rhythm. Raw strength, more arm speed, strength and velocity to gain in future. Lower half is stiff, more to be gained with added strength, finished tall and upright. Arm swing is clean, long in the back, high ¾ arm action with some effort. Fastball is straight, sat 70-72 arm side and up, topping at 73. Breaking ball was loose, 1/7 gradual break, thrown inconsistent around the plate. Backed off arm speed on changeup, thrown at 59-63, cuts it down in the zone.
