1/6/2019: Cody Medley, 3B/RHP, New Albany HS, 2020, 6 foot 2, 200 pounds, showed strength in his balance from a balanced set up and simple load/small stride. His easy bat speed produces an exit velo of 90. At 3B, Cody had average actions and showed arm strength with a position velo of 83 mph. Will have to stay at a corner position with a 60 time of 7.76. On the mound Cody also showed arm strength with a fastball reaching 84, while his CB sat 73-75, and his CH was 78-79. Cody pitches out of a high ¾ slot, with short, efficient arm action. CB was a good pitch, and had 12-6 shape and good depth. CH had solid fade action. With the arm action and depth on the CB, Cody will be one to follow in the 2020 class.
