2017 Spring Scout Blog:  The 6'1" uncommitted junior shortstop displayed good defensive actions with average arm strength across the diamond. Fields a little squatty and flat footed at times. Glove works out front with good hand action to field through the baseball. Will need to speed up transfer to release as game speeds up. Moves well laterally and athletic to the baseball. Short arm swing to high 3/4 release. Good leadoff hitter with patient approach. Good position on takes and swings. Hits from slightly open, squatted stance from the right side. Hands start right off the shoulder with small separation gained in load. Short hand path to the baseball. Line drive, middle of the field swing. Jumps a little bit up out of legs in swing, has more in the lower half to generate power. Plus runner with feel on the basepaths. 

2/19/17: 6-foot, 170 pound MIF.  Offensively, hits from a slightly open setup, loads back, front arm bar, small  leg kick timing trigger. Maintains balance through the swing.  Possesses average bat speed, uphill swing plane.  Registered a high exit velocity of 80 mph.  Defensively, showcased above average hands, fluid footwork and a clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball. Short, high ¾ arm action with accuracy, topped out at 81 across the INF.  Ran a 6.96 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. 

12/3/16:  The 6-foot, 170 pound infielder showcased athleticism up the middle with above average glove work.  Quick transfer, release. Plays thru the ball.  Throws topped at 78.  At the plate, Stigleman hits form a balanced setup with short stride.  Path is slightly uphill with a line drive approach.  Good barrel awareness.  High exit velocity of 81.  Cole ran a 6.91 60yd dash.

6/22/15: 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, ran a 6.91-60.  Defensively possesses sure hands with quick feet.  Exchange was quick and plays through the ball with some athleticism.  Overall solid actions in the field.  Loose, high ¾ arm action across the diamond at 77 with some carry.  At the plate hits from a balanced setup.  Loads back, stride is short.  Possesses good bat speed with fluid rhythm in the swing.  Regularly got to extension showing pull-side pop.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 80 mph.  On the mound pitches from a short, ¾ arm action with above average arm speed.  Shows some effort in the delivery with smooth rhythm.  Level shoulders, stays in line.  Lands open.  Fastball was 75-77 with occasional cut.  Changeup was 66-67 with occasional sink.  

5/12/15 GAME NOTES: Impressive physically.  Possesses soft hands and good range to both sides plays hard and throws strikes to first base. Right handed hitter that hits in a balanced stance with good extension through contact. Will hit for average and power.
