Uncommitted junior southpaw had a strong showing on April 26 against rival Evansville Reitz. The 6-foot-1 180 pounder went four innings allowing one hit and one run (0ER), three walks while striking out eight. Chinn was a consistent 82-84 with the fastball and good slurvey type breaking ball at 68-71 for a strike. Able to throw inside with both pitches to right-handed hitters. Good rhythm in the delivery. Taller balance point with a slight inward turn, works slightly crossfire. Small arm circle, high ¾ slot with good extension out front. Tendency to fall off towards 3B side. Intriguing uncommitted junior lefty with more velo in the tank.

Body: 6-foot-1, 180-pound Athletic, Projectable Frame.
Starts slightly open then moves into a slow clean windup. Shows good extension on his arm with a ¾ slot. Projectable on the mound with good ability at the present time.
FB: Has running action and arm side command
CB: 67-73 mph. harder action than SL but at a slower speed. Throws both off speeds well.
CH: 74-75 mph. Has some slight run/tail.
SL: 71-75 mph. tight sweeping movement, shows great command arm side
