6/6/16: 6-foot, 190-pound athletic frame. Starts slightly open at the plate before using a short stride for timing. Has some rhythm to his hands before getting the bat through the zone with definite quickness and strength. Swing doesn’t look the smoothest but is effective as he made hard contact in batting practice consistently. Gap to gap pop at this stage. Registered an exit velocity of 89 mph and ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Behind the plate he has above average tools across the board. Has flexibility to hips that helped him get under the low pitch in the game. Will need to improve accuracy on his throws. Impressive pop times of 1.92-1.96, and he threw with 74 mph arm strength to second base.
