On the mound the righty has a smooth tempo to his repeatable delivery. Uses an easy leg lift, staying tall at balance point. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot, showing above average arm speed. Ball comes out of his hand well, with his fastball consistently sitting in the low 80s. The pitch works downhill, otherwise staying mostly true through the zone. Pounded the zone and worked off the pitch. His 11/5 shaped breaking ball has sharpness and depth to it. Used the offering as a put away pitch.

7/24/17: Big righthanded senior stands 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a controlled and balanced delivery down the mound. Shows ability to repeat, creates some good downhill plane on the baseball to the plate. More lower half drive and acceleration through the front leg with better flexibility/strength to finish pitches. Front hip spun open at times. Ball breaks out of the glove early, into a short arm swing up to high slot release. Fastball sat 81-83, touched an 84 with a couple thrown heavy, down in the zone arm side. Curveball had some downward shape, 11/5 when release point was out front. Thrown at 67-68, glove side. Changeup was thrown 71-74, cut glove side.
