10/05/25
Stocky strong with his best work done on the defensive side, Alexander showcased well across the board while in the midst of football season. One of the top uncommitted senior catchers still left on our board, the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder burned a 7.2 60-yard dash with 10 & 30 yard splits to suggest he runs at at least an average clip in-game. His arm showed loud in workouts; 81 from the crouch with pops as low as 1.91, and 91 across the diamond from the hot corner. The arm and glove are his best abilities, also a sound in-game receiver with a steady presence, and there is some power potential offensively with fast hands leading a barrel that works with some feel. He reached a peak exit of 93.6 mph with some feel to lift pullside.
6/24/25
Strong, durable 5-foot-10, 215-pound frame – built for the catching position. Right-handed bat with a short, compact stroke that generates loud contact; flashes strength-based power with a 92 mph max EV and 325’ peak distance. Offense profiles with gap-to-gap juice and some middle-of-the-order potential. Defensively, shows very solid receiving skills with a chance to develop into a plus defender. Arm strength is a weapon (80 mph from the crouch), producing 2.05–2.16 pop times with accuracy. Athletically, a 7.20 runner who moves well for his size and brings surprising mobility to the position
5/27/25
+ Defense-first backstop that possesses a big arm from behind the plate. Cut down a runner and made SB attempts closer than they should’ve been on a couple occasions. Bat speed is still developing but stocky frame could lead to power down the road.

3/10/24

'26 C Gunner Alexander (Gibson Southern) was a pop-up sophomore that showed very well. A strong, compact, 5-foot-10, 185 pounder - Alexander showed catch & throw prowess with his pops registering at 1.95 - 2.01, and an arm that was up to 78 mph from the crouch. He also showed well in the bullpen portion, showing sure hands and above average overall receiving abilities. At the plate, the stocky right-handed hitter showed a short, simple swing, hitting into a firm lead leg to allow the barrel to accelerate through contact. Alexander flashed gap power, reaching a peak exit velocity of 93.6 mph.
