Holden Brown: SS/2B, (2022) Mississinewa, IN. 5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Browns best exit velocity was 81 mph. Started in an open tall stance with a smooth load, then used a long stride to initiate his swing. Had Level swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels in his rounds. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 76 mph; shows athletic footwork and a twitchy exchange. Showed some accuracy to the bag and a ¾ slot. Clocked a 60 time of 7.5 at the event.
5-foot-8, 155-pound 2B/SS. At the plate, the switch hitter had an exit velocity of 69 mph. He started in a tall stance with a small load, then used a toe tap to initiate his swing. His bat speed was average, he showed a level swing plane and a high finish. While in the infield, he registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph. From a a high ¾ slot, he showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a long arm action. On defense, he showed consistent hands, a quick exchange and heavy feet. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.48.
9/23/18: 2023 INF hits from the right side. Showed good rhythm throughout swing. Uses toe tap trigger. Hands stay mostly stationary with slight load action. Showed ability to use the whole field with a line drive approach. Posted an exit velo of 78. In the INF showed twitchy actions with good footwork and soft hands. Throws across the diamond were 70.
