Projectable 6-foot-4, 185-pounder with a long-limbed frame that points to future strength gains. Richards shows present bat strength from the right side, reaching a 96 mph exit velocity with a 346’ peak distance, though the swing is still more strength-driven than fluid. Moves adequately around the bag at first base with a 75 mph arm, and also shows two-way intrigue on the mound where he works in the upper-70s and touches 81 mph with feel for both a breaking ball (63–68 mph, 2340 max spin) and slider (69 mph). A 7.17 runner, Richards’ size, raw strength, and projection make him a follow for future power (or velocity) development.

- Richards was very solid offensively - reaching a peak exit of 94.2 mph. There is some rawness to the projectable, 6-foot-4, 180 pounders' swing, though he shows good rotational capabilites with some strength already present.
