3/26/18 Spring Scout Blog: 5-foot-11, senior IPFW commit competed and showed well in his first outing on the mound, sitting 85-87 with the fastball, mixing in a sharp downward breaking pitch at 75-77. Filled up the strike zone, worked quick with repeatable delivery and clean arm swing. The athletic lefty was good early on, competing down in the strike zone, keeping hitters off balanced and getting ahead in counts. Worked two clean innings before running into trouble in the 3rd, giving up 2 runs. Highly competitive starter.

2/19/17: 5-foot-10, 175 pound outfielder hits from a balanced setup. Loads back, small leg trigger for timing. Maintains good balance throughout the swing.  Above average hand speed with a level swing path, gets to extension.  Fluid rhythm, line drive hitter.  Consistently found the barrel during his BP round.  Registered a high exit velocity of 81 mph.  Defensively, throws from a long, high ¾ arm action.  Throws topped out at 86 with accuracy. Hands are soft, quick/clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball.  Ran a 6.96 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. 

2/21/16: 5-foot-10, 165 pounder ran a 7.11-60.  In the field possesses good hands and footwork. Exchange is clean.  Long, high 3/4 arm action with some carry.  At the plate hits from an athletic setup. Smooth load, short stride.  Average lower half. Good balance.  Average bat speed.  

12/6/15: 5-foot-10, 165 pound outfielder ran a 7.05-60.  Possesses soft hands defensively with fluid feet and a clean exchange.  Plays through the baseball with athleticism.  Quick arm from a long, high ¾ action at 84 mph with carry.  Offensively, hits from a balanced setup.  Smooth load, long stride.  Good balance.  Average bat speed, level path.  Has some stiffness in his rhythm.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 76 mph.  

PITCHING- 5-foot-10, 165 pound southpaw is athletic player.  Pitches from a high ¾ slot with quick arm speed.  Stab on the backside of his arm action.  Smooth rhythm.  Fairly clean mechanically.  Fastball was 77-80.  Good breaking ball at 66-70.  Changeup was 70-73.
