+ RHP Keaton Miller (Twin Lakes): Miller turned in a complete-game shutout against Lafayette Central Catholic, flooding the zone throughout his seven innings. He allowed five hits and one walk while striking out four. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder works to a tall balance point before making a controlled move down the slope, the arm works clean and easy on the backside. Miller sat 84-86 mph and touched 87 a handful of times with relatively easy intent. The fastball showed occasional arm-side run and he commanded it effectively to both sides of the plate. He mixed in a 79-80 mph slider that he went to frequently, though it backed up at times, it flashed as a solid offering. He also showed feel for a bigger 70-74 mph curveball, using it to get ahead in counts. He also has some feel for a 79-81 mph changeup. Miller’s strike-throwing nature, solid feel for his arsenal and easier intent delivery allow for easy starters’ projection. With plenty of projection remaining in the frame, there’s clear upside here and his best days are still ahead.

3/07/26

Miller was a breathe of fresh air amongst some arms looking to touch numbers, as he showed the opposite. Lifts to a taller, even balance point before a slight shoulder tilt and controlled stride that lands square. Slower takeaway out the glove as the arm gradually builds speed to release. Clean arm in total. Pitched at 85-87, touched 88, with the ability to control it to both sides. 80-82 short gyro-slider tunnels off the heater, should be a pitch that gets swing-and-miss + soft contact. Also showed a bigger, 72-73 curveball that looks the part of a freeze/land pitch. Executed a 78-80 change. While the stuff doesn't jump out, the ability to control his arsenal and body allows for starters' projections and there is significant upside left in an athletic, 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame.

7/01/25

Miller, a projectable, 6-foot-3, 180 pounder, pitched with a low-pulse demeanor and filled the zone with four pitches. His fastball played at 84-86, touching 87, and there is rawness to the delivery that could bring velo in a hurry if adjustments are made. The arm works in an uninterrupted fashion, with balance present, that allowed him to show quality control of an upper-70s change and spin that ranged from 72-78. There was some feel to add/subtract with spin, another intriguing trait. Miller walks away as a winner with a chance to make real jumps in the next calendar year.
