6/12/18: Tall and lean frame at 6’6 two prospect. The 2019 grad hits from the right side, tall open athletic setup in the box. Uses toe tap as trigger with hand load as well. Uses entire frame in swing with an uphill bat path showing ability to lift the baseball to deep parts of the field. Bat is quick through the zone. In the OF moves well for size, quick footwork through the baseball, exchange is clean and quick and arm strength is above average at 86. On the mound pitches from high arm slot that creates good downward plane to the plate. Tempo is slower with slight pause on first step, tall and fall type delivery. Arm stroke is quick and clean. Finishes upright and at times off towards 1B. FB 84-85 T86 with good downwards plane. Flashed CB at 73-74 that tended to back up on him.

2/18/18:  6-foot-6, 220 pound pitcher has a physical, projectable frame on the mound.  Deliberate pace, average tempo.  Short, stiff arm swing.  Quick hand.  Downhill plane on the fastball.  Sat 82-84, up to 85.  Projects for more velocity.  Inconsistent command, but improving.  Breaking ball has deep 11/5 shape, some showcasing late depth.   Movements are raw, but improving each time we see Hoskins.   Hits from an open setup with toe tap to stride.  Fluid hand load. Balanced swing.  Present gap to gap power.  Defensively, moves well with clean, long transfer.  Throws had carry at 85mph.  Moves well laterally.  Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash.

9/10/17: 60 Time: 7.46, Position Velocity: OF-84, Exit Velocity: 88. Physical, 6-foot-5, 210 pound junior showcased bat speed to the ball side, driving the baseball with backspin and carry deep in gaps and down the left field line. Uses toe tap to close and load, front foot lands slightly closed, spinning to allow back side to work through. Strong kid, creates good angle through contact with lift, back knee works well under the head, keeping the upper body stacked over the knee to finish, good balance throughout. Solid gap to gap power, advanced approach. Big arm from corner outfield spot, tall easy effort to throw, creates good arm speed with short arm action. Creates good whip and extension to throw, ball flight had backspin with accuracy and carry to bases. Uncommitted Top 50 junior in state rankings. PITCHING: Strong, projectable frame righthander pitches with short arm action, high ¾ arm slot. Choppy rhythm, but good tempo/effort and repeatable delivery, aggressive and accelerates well down the mound to finish. Above average arm speed. Fastball sat 83-84, good downhill and arm side life, chance to sink the baseball. Topped at 85 with more velo in frame. Breaking ball was tight and sharp, inconsistent at times, thrown 71-72 glove side, outer half of plate. Changeup was 72-73.
