2/17/18:  6-foot, 175 pound infielder has soft hands with a quick release up the middle.  Moves well laterally.  Short arm swing into 3/4 slot.  Accurate throws topped 77mph.  Plays through the baseball.  Hits from a slightly open, balanced setup.  Leg kick into uphill bat path.  Stays on plane.  Good balance.  Able to use all fields.  Exit velocity topped 83mph.  Ran a 7.72 60 yard dash.

 
9/17/17: 2019 SS Kody Putnam (Evansville Central HS, IN) had a solid weekend playing shortstop and at the plate. The wiry-athletic, 5-foot-11, 160-pound infielder was confident in his abilities in the field, and smoothly fielded most ground balls hit his way. With a quick first step, Putnam was able to move side to side with ease while making accurate throws. At the plate, he has a short, quick stroke that produced line drives to all fields. He had two hits against the tough pitchers, and seemed to be the guy that the Midwest Canes wanted up in a big spot.
