6-foot-6, 205-pound 1B with a 93 mph exit velocity. Left-handed hitter who starts in a tall stance and rests bat on his shoulder. Keeps a high elbow to help generate power; gets off his back foot well. Swing path is typically straight to the ball but is sometimes upward; hits off his back foot; has a high, two-handed finish. At 1B, shows good movements to the ball; moves well laterally; gets in good position to field; 78 mph position velocity. Shows confidence in the field. Recorded a 60 time of 7.95.
7/24/18: 2020 1B prospect showed off big power potential in BP. Hits from the left side, tall setup in the box. Showed good bat speed and the ability to back spin balls out of the park pull side. Swing has some rawness to it but has serious pop. Posted an exit velo of 92. Hands are free and bat path is slightly uphill. Showed good feel around the bag at 1B with ability to pick it. Interesting 2020 1B prospect.
4/19/18: Uncommited. LHH 1B stands 6-foot-5 and about 210 pounds. Body looks strong with room to develop. At the plate starts vertical and silent. Bat rests on the shoulder and lifts on delivery causing the bat to get through late. Was able to handle the pitch up deep to RCF gap. Some pullside power. Sharp uphill swing plane does present some contact issues with a more direct bat path providing more consistency. In the field shows a good arm from 1B with raw footwork around the bag.
