4/2/18 Spring Scout Blog: Another strong piece to the Silver Creek line up, Wheeler barreled up a GS in 1st inning that got out of the park in a hurry. Showed a good approach at the plate and looks very comfortable in the box. Uphill bat path through the zone. Showed fluid actions in the INF with solid footwork. Started game at 3B and displayed strong loose arm across the diamond. Moved over to SS when McNay took the bump and showed some range to glove side on a well struck ball. Interesting uncommitted '19 prospect to follow who profiles as 3B at next level. 

2/17/18:  6-foot-1, 180 pound third baseman has a smooth load and quick barrel in the box.  Slightly open setup, timing trigger in leg kick.  High contact hitter.  Uses all fields.  Long, slightly uphill path.  Exit velocity topped 87.  Defensively, hands are sure with clean transfer.  Long gather.  Loose arm action.  Throws topped 84 across.  Ran a 7.5. 60 yard dash.
