Body: 5-foot-9, 193-pound solid mature frame.
Hit: (RHH) Begins in an open stance with a compact load, then uses a short stride. Good extension on his finish, upward swing.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity, average 83.74 mph. 70.06 mph bat speed average. 20.15 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (C) 2.11-2.18 pop times. Fluid footwork. Had flexible staggered setup.
Arm: 69 mph catcher velocity. Compact arm action, an-over-the-top slot.
Speed: 7.79 (60-yard).
Compact thick frame. Has good leg strength. Swing starts with an erect stance with shoulder width apart base. Medium high leg kick, waves bat with waggle to pre load his trigger to swing. Has a suspended leg kick in timing and rhythm to impact on ball with barrel. Gets full extension through front side with barrel and finishes with a one handed buggy whip. Has some pop in bat and will increase as he matures over time. On defense as a catcher displayed good soft hands. Framed well. Gives two stances with traditional and hybrid one leg down. A little too high of stance when getting ready for pop times. Produced 2.08-2.12 pop times. These can improve as he gets in better position to throw. OH release hinders balls at times to gain length to his throws. Small adjustments and he will increase this measurement. Has good work ethic as a catcher that pitchers like to work with.
New Palestine High School, Class of 2022 5-foot-8, 150-pound C / 3B. During batting practice, his best exit velocity was 77 mph. Starts with his hands even with shoulder, drops his hands in his load. Stayed inside the ball well. Had a high one-handed finish. While catching, his pop time was registered at 2.15; during the event, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 70 mph. Shows flexibility. Consistently put balls on the bag. Can gain more velocity if uses legs for power. He recorded a 60 time of 7.98.
