+ RHP Isaac Gill, Mishawaka Marian: One of my favorite arms still on the board, Gill features an athletic, ultra-projectable 6-foot-5, 180-pound frame. The operation is raw but athletic, lifting to a moderate balance point before moving down the mound with ease. The arm action is full and works quick and clean. He worked at 84-88 mph with two fastball shapes, mixing a sinker at 84-85 and a four-seam at 85-88 mph with easy intent. His slider at 72-75 mph had some sweep and he demonstrated solid feel to land it. An upside offering that can really improve with refinements. Gill also showed a fading changeup at 76-79 mph that he used to both right and left-handed hitters. I loved the low-effort operation, arm action, and his ability to compete over the plate. Gill’s ceiling is very high and we’ll continue to monitor him very closely as the spring progresses.
Easily the biggest riser of the event. Huge jumps since the fall. The 6-foot-5, 180-pounder from South Bend looked the part of a must-follow with a raw-but-athletic operation and real acceleration to a full arm swing. Pitching at 87-88 and touching 89 from a somewhat-unique wide slot, Gill spun the heater at 2400+ that provided a heavy look from a lower release height. He showed two-distinct fastball shapes, a heavier 4S that should climb above barrels, and a true sinker profile with heavy arm-side life and depth. There is real upside in the breaking ball, showing two grips that blended into a similiar shape for a low-to-mid 70s offering with big sweep. To round a deep arsenal, Gill controlled a change at 79-81 with heavy arm-side fade. If refinements are made to a breaking ball that already spins north-of 2600, Gill could climb into premier territory amongst righties in the class.
Helium candidate for 2026 who brought one of the highest-upside looks amongst his peers. 6-foot-4, 170-pounder that easily played catch at 81-83 mph. Long levers create easy arm speed, poured fastball strikes. Also showed some feel for a slurvey, low-70s slider that spun into the 2400s. M2C.
Isaac Gill is a 2027 SS/OF from Marian High School with a long-limbed, high-upside 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame that projects well. A right-handed hitter, Gill works from a balanced setup with a loose, athletic operation in the box. He generates natural lift with an uphill path, though the backside tends to collapse, creating occasional inconsistencies in balance. He recorded a 90 mph max exit velocity, averaged 76.3 mph, and reached a 297’ max distance, flashing real power potential. Defensively, he shows clean, easy actions with a 79 mph arm and the length and mobility to move around the field. A 7.34 runner with a 23.2” vertical, Gill is a big upside follow if strength and athletic gains are made.
