Two-way standout who brings equal value & upside on both sides of the ball. Dynamic patterns within a simple, athletic delivery. Quick, clean arm gets to a wider 3/4 slot as he ripped upper-80s fastballs from there and touched 89. Average to better secondaries both in the upper-70s; SL fits the sweeper mold with 12" of gloveside on average and is a touch ahead of the arm-side faded change. Twitchy athlete who doubles as one of the better defensive centerfielders in the class. Good follow on both sides with a real chance for continued polish.
High-end athlete with ample twitch that participated in this event while in the midst of soccer season. Wiry, 6-foot, 170-pounder. Turned in a 6.8 60-yard dash to pair with 96-plus exits to bring speed/power upside. Barrel is presented on a flatter plane with standout rotational twitch. Also showed an athletic look on the bump with an 83-85 mph heater (has been into upper-80s) with a well-above average slider that played at 77-80 mph. CF.
Another freakish athlete rising on our '27 board at the conclusion of this event is Lukac. Fresh off a state title with the 59ers, Lukac burned a 6.58, the best run time amongst '27s at this event. His 6-foot, 170 pound frame is packed full of twitch, and there are present tools to really dream on here. Aside from the footspeed, Lukac posted a 98 mph exit with a flatter, twitchy swing, and also an above average arm from the OF (85 mph). There is some rawness to his game still, but the athleticism is an undeniable, unteachable trait that builds intrigue.
+ Lukac appears to be a big breakout candidate for Andrean after a huge performance at this event. He's lean and athletic at 6-foot, 170 pounds. He can really run, evident in the 6.68 60 he burned to begin the day, and his 27.1" vertical leap was also an event best. He creates tons of bat speed with a loose, whippy swing and he looks to leverage with pull-side intent. His rotational scores were really solid, as well, and helped him reach a 98.8 peak exit. He was up to 86 from the outfield and he has a fast arm. There is a lot to like here and Lukac will be a close follow for our staff in the spring.
