The strong-bodied right-hander returns 22 innings from last spring in which he struck out 40 opposing batters. He showed a true carry fastball at 86-90 mph (15.8 avg. IVB; 4.3” HM avg.). He flashed feel for a slider with quality spin (T2469 rpm) at 75-78 mph with shorter sweeping action. He rounded things out with a splitter at 80-81 mph, killing spin effectively.
