Long, projectable 6-foot-4, 178 pound frame. Loose arm action, high-3/4 slot. Frame/arm action combo should easily lead to additional velocity development. Fastball topped at 89 mph, worked in the 84-88 range with occasional ASR. Works fastball well to both sides of the plate. Has feel for spin on the breaking ball at 71-74 mph with sharp break. Fastball spin rate peaked at 2250 rpm while curveball spin rate peaked at 2458 rpm. Stuck with fastball/curveball mix in his effective two-inning stint vs Indiana at the PBR Future Games but has also shown previous ability to use an effective 76-79 changeup.
Summary: High-upside arm with very high ceiling. Receiving significant D1 interest after Future Games performance.
6-foot-4, 170 pound SS/RHP with plenty of projection in frame.. Flashed two-way ability at the event. Consistent line drive contact working from gap to gap. Bat speed present. Registered an 89 mph exit velocity off the tee. Ran event best 6.85 60-yard dash for the Class of 2022-2023 session. Sure hands and quick exchange defensively. Good arm strength on strong/accurate throws. 82 mph across the diamond. On the mound, works through an over the top arm slot with normal effort. Arm shows quickness. Worked fastball at 84-86 topping at 88 once. Occasional sharp downer curveball at 73-74 located consistently at bottom of the zone. Good arm action on changeup at 76-79, some feel. Intriguing two-way guy with good upside and a definite high follow in the 2022 class.
