Fielding/Throwing Schweitzer is certainly mature well beyond his years both offensively and defensively. Has a chance to be an elite talent at SS. His actions and arm will certainly allow him to stay there at the next level.
6-foot, 175-pound athletic frame. Projectable in the box, Schweitzer had an exit velocity of 90 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average, and had a simple swing plane. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 79 mph; had soft hands, fluid athletic footwork, and a quick exchange. Movements laterally were twitchy. While catching, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 75 mph; shows quick athletic footwork, and a quick exchange. Showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.85-1.90. Athletic setup with a lot of flexibility. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a quick arm action and a ¾ slot.
