John Kiebler, MIF, Paducah Tilghman (KY), 2022 True sophomore. Athletic build, compact frame standing 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Kiebler is yet another top returner for SIC and he certainly looked the part throughout his workout. Last season the right-handed hitter hit .319 in 138 at-bats and it's easy to see why, as he boasts a loose/athletic stroke with barrel control that looks to keep the ball on a line to the whole field. He’s an above-average defender on the infield, moving athletically to both sides of his glove with some bounce in his step and soft hands. Quick/clean transfer that can play on the move, reaching up to 83 mph across the diamond. 7.17 runner in the 60-yard dash.
9/03/19
5-foot-10, 150 pounds. Impressed on the mound with fast delivery and solid arsenal of pitches. Drop and drive delivery. Fastball sat 80-82 paired with a tumbling curveball at 64 mph. FB is up 4 ticks since we saw him in February. Threw pitches with confidence and picked spots well. Also looked good at the plate, with a balanced approach. Has shown significant improvement at the plate and on the mound. Defensive actions continue to be easy and fundamental.
