2/13/16 - 60 Time: 7.38, Position Velocity:  IF-76, Exit Velocity: 86
5-foot-10, 170-pound LHH hits from an open stance and uses a short stride to get to square, compact swing with good extension through contact, advanced plate approach allows him to use all fields well, makes consistent hard contact and flashes good gap to gap power. Good athleticism at the hot corner, soft hands, moves well, high-3/4 release produced accurate throws, didn’t show as much arm strength as in the past (80 mph). Shelby continues to impress with his left-handed bat.
10/18/15 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed hitter hits from a slightly open stance and squares up with a short stride, stays short to the ball, hand quickness generates good bat speed, 85 mph exit velocity off the tee, shows good power for size, aggressive hitter early in the count, went 2-for-4 in game play with a double to left field, infield hit, and lined out hard to first base, ran 4.47 down the line. Athletic defender at third base with good lateral movement and body control, gets rid of the ball with a quick release, 77 mph velocity across infield (80 mph at previous event). Shelby continues to stand out with his left-handed bat.

6/29/15 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed hitter had an impressive showing. Hits from a open stance and squares up with a short stride, short swing path and gets the barrel through the zone with quick hands, line drive type hitter with gap power, uses all fields well, ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, went 1-for-3 in game play with a single to left field. Best defensive showing to date, soft hands and good corner actions, good body control with ability to throw on the move, accurate throws across the diamond with 80 mph velocity.
6/17/15 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed hitter hits from a slightly open stance, squares front side with a toe tap and short stride, hands are quick and loose, line drive type hitter with present gap power, 80 mph exit velocity, ran 4.45 down the line, went 1-for-4 with a single to left and hard line out to SS. Showed well defensively, soft hands, good footwork, athletic corner actions, loose arm with 77 mph velocity across the infield, good body control with ability to throw on the move from different arm angles, should continue to develop power side of offensive game with added physical strength.
2/14/15 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect, left-handed hitter hits from an open stance, closes off front side with a toe tap and short stride, uses lower half torque in swing, shorter swing path with extension through contact, line drive type hitter with flashes of power to the pull side, showed better measurables than at previous events with 7.51 60-yard dash and 85 mph exit velocity. Defensively, shows good athleticism at the corner, good footwork and plays through the ball, soft hands, 75 mph velocity across the infield, continues to show strides in overall game.
10/4/14 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect with athletic frame, left-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance, toe tap with short stride, hands show quickness, loose swing, explodes with lower half, shows some gap to gap power, posted a 4.88 home to first base time (4.62 at previous event), went 0-for-3 in game play.  Defensively, shows solid corner actions, most throws accurate across the infield, 74 mph arm strength.
7/23/14 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect ran a 7.62 60 yard dash and registered a 75 mph tee exit velocity, left-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a toe tap and no stride, quiet approach with a short path to the baseball, fluid line-drive producing swing with the ability to hit to all fields.  Defensively, shows soft hands and solid corner actions with good body control, reached a top velocity of 75 mph across the infield, solid young prospect, went 2-for-4 in game play with sharp singles to right and center.
10/13/13 - Fall Prospect Program at WKU - 5-foot-9, 170-pound, left-handed hitting prospect with compact build, shows above average footwork in infield, quick exchange with 68 mph arm strength across the infield.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, uses strong lower half to generate some bat speed through the zone, line drive type hitter, ran 4.62 down the first base line.
