2/12/17 - 60 Time: 7.55, Pop Time: 1.80-1.85, Position Velocity: C-80, Exit Velocity: 88
6*/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.56, Pop Time: 1.97-2.02, Position Velocity:  C-76, Exit Velocity: 91
At 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, the RHH has a physical frame that translates to big power for the young catcher. He shows the ability to drive the baseball, especially to the pull side out of a balanced stance with a slight leg kick and mid-length stride, also showed some opposite field pop in game play when he was robbed of a hit on a nice running catch, finished with an 0-for-3 day. Defensively, he has solid arm strength and has consistently recorded sub-2.0 pop times at each event he has attended. Wood possesses some of the most power of any Class of 2019 prospect the state has to offer.
2/13/16 - 60 Time: 7.57, Pop Time: 1.95-2.00, Position Velocity:  C-75, Exit Velocity: 93
6-foot-1, 195-pound RHH with advanced physical frame for age, hits from an open stance and uses a big leg kick trigger and aggressive stride, produces big bat speed for age and shows power to all fields with an aggressive approach, registered best exit velocity to date. Gets rid of the ball efficiently with a quick transfer and release, gains ground on throws with quick footwork, solid arm strength and accurate throws produced good pop times. Wood has established himself as a top Class of 2019 prospect.
10/18/15 - 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-handed hitter, physically advanced for age, hits from an open stance, loads back with front foot and uses an aggressive stride, uses frame and loose hands to generate bat speed that produces power to all fields, 89 mph exit velocity off the tee, ran 4.78 down the line, went 1-for-4 in game play with a single to left field. Has potential to be a top power bat in 2019 class. Defensively, shows good arm strength for age, 76 mph velocity from behind the plate, footwork stays online, 2.06-2.14 pop times with most throws accurate. Very intriguing young player and one of the top 2019 prospects we have seen to date.
